The Path to Full-UHD (4K/60) Connectivity
PureLink to Unveil the Industry’s First Full-UHD HDMI Matrix Switcher with HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 Support
RAMSEY, NJ – FEB. 1, 2016 – PureLink is excited to unveil its all new UX Series 4K HDMI Matrix Switchers at ISE 2016. The latest generation of its HDTools™ integrated matrix switching systems and breakthrough technology in Ultra HD/4K transport, the UX Series provides full Ultra HD connectivity, featuring HDMI 2.0/HDCP 2.2 compliance.
The UX-4400 and UX-8800 provide switching of up to four or eight HDMI 2.0 inputs and outputs with advanced EDID management and added security features. Together with proprietary EZ-H 2.0 HDMI 2.0 over Fiber extension cables, the UX Series delivers a true, first-in-class Ultra HD multizone signal distribution solution.
“Current HDCP 2.2 HDBaseT switchers on the market may work for 4K displays produced in 2014, but they are not suitable for new displays that support High Dynamic Range (HDR)content,” said Kevin Kang, Associate Director at PureLink. “And HDR, which requires the 18 Gbps bandwidth capabilities of HDMI 2.0, is a real differentiator in terms of high-end 4K display performance,” said Kang. “Because HDBaseT isn’t quite ready for HDMI 2.0, PureLink is driving forward once again with the UX Series, providing a unique solution now that will work reliably with evolving 4K requirements.”
